Submission Requirements

Submissions must meet the following criteria to be considered for publication:

Poetry: 3-5 poems or 5 page maximum per submission

Fiction: 1 story no more than 10 pages per submission

Non fiction: 1 piece no more than 10 pages per submission

Longer pieces may be considered during contests or if broken into multiple submissions.

Please use either word or pdf for all submissions. We do not accept unsolicited submissions. Please submit only one time per cycle.

We do accept simultaneous submissions, however we ask that you please notify us if your piece is accepted elsewhere. We accept reprints if the author is the copyright holder. In that case, we ask that the you include previous publication history in the submission form along with permission confirmation from the original publisher.

Finally, all submissions must be from foster youth or former foster youth. We do not accept work from people without lived experience in the foster care system.
